RAILROAD SIGNALS of the U.S.

Pictures From
Atlanta Road Trip
Here are a few
miscellaneous pictures from my latest trip to Atlanta....
Nothing special, altho some curious things
This is the "big chicken" on Cobb Pkwy in
Marietta GA. It almost got torn down in a remodeling of the KFC, but the
locals prevailed and kept the landmark. The eyes and beak move.
Also in the area is the Civil War museum on Kennesaw, with the steam engine General that the Union stole from the south during the Civil War (good museum), and "the square" in downtown Marietta - they have a nice little station there, and you can eat lunch outside and watch trains in the warm weather. The Georgia Northeast RR is not too far away, either.
This water tower is along I85 in Gaffney SC....
Pretty cool, huh?
Downtown Atlanta skyline at dusk.
A couple of other buildings that decorate the
Atlanta skyline, the one on the left is particularly neat.
A couple of typical cars seen on the highway in
North Carolina.... I stayed away from the one on the left, figuring he wouldn't
have insurance to cover my truck if he hit it - he was on the cellphone and not
paying much attention to his driving, probably why his car is the way it is!
