RANT #5
On WALMART and being GREEN

As many people my age, I take a few meds on a daily basis.  The thing today seems to be to prescribe meds on a 90 day basis.   I guess the reasoning is to keep costs down?

One prescription I got filled last week at Walmart because it is a generic.

The package seemed excessively large.  When I got it home, I opened it up to find three separate packages, each like a large birth control pill package.

The problem I have with this is, it is a terrible waste of our limited resources!!!

Look at the accompanying photos, and you can see that one half of the package (which is good for only one month!!!) is more plastic than contained in one pill bottle (which is good for three months).  AND, in addition, you have the sleeve which actually contains the pills, and is another disposal nightmare since the plastic and metal are difficult to separate!!!

PS... BTW... this packaging specifically states on it that it is made in India for Walmart by Lupin Limited, so only they can be blamed... no-one else.

The pill sleeve in addition to the outer container

One half of a monthly container contains more plastic than a 90 day bottle.

Look at everything it takes to replace a single 90 day supply bottle,

WAY TO GO WALMART!!!

And we wonder why our LANDFILLS are filling up with SHIT!!!

It just ain't right!!!
